INDIC STUDIES
Indology, also known as Indic Studies, is the study of the ancient languages, various scripts and literatures, historical backgrounds, philosophies and cultures of the Indian sub-continent.
The RISHIS Foundation has limited its scope to the cultural continuum of our Indian Settlements and their expressions, to ascertain their relevance to present times for sustainable growth and development.
UNIQUE INITIATIVE
‘RISHI’ in our Indian scriptures is also title conferred on a very knowledgeable enlightened person who is able to resolve pressing issues and solve urgent problems immediately.
Similar to the prefix of ‘Dr’ for a PhD scholar, the Advanced Level Applied Research Participants may be awarded the Title and prefix of ‘RISHI’ (*this is the first of its kind in the country).
THE AIM: of Research Institute for Sustainable Habitat and Indic-Studies (ONLINE) is to generate and produce knowledgeable and enlightened persons from every State and Union Territory of India compromising of 806 Districts to write and host ‘Applied Research’ Papers on the RISHIS FOUNDATION Web Portal rishisfoundation.org so as to increase the awareness among people regarding sustainable development and the importance of our heritage, identity and deep rooted values.
RISHIS FOUNDATION encourages and invites participants from all States and Union Territories compromising of 806 districts to indulge in ‘Applied Research’ mainly as Social Service.
